Praise For Downtown Crackdown III!

Downtown Crackdown III (the non-3D version of The Final Chapter) has received some praise! An individual, whom no one within IATL knows (as far as we know), actually posted a link to the flick on BadMovies.org! http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php?topic=138800.0

This is indeed a special gift for IATL's 11th Anniversary. If you haven't seen the 2D version of DTCD 3 yet, here it is:

Downtown Crackdown: The Final Chapter 3D Director's Redux

Presenting, DOWNTOWN CRACKDOWN 3D! The way it was meant to be seen! Now more watchable!

DTCD3D Technical Fun!

Well, it was a long and arduous Friday the 13th weekend, but we managed to complete the third and final chapter in the Downtown Crackdown series! Some of the stuff that went down this past weekend:

- We used two cameras side by side in order to achieve the 3D effect for the movie, once edited. However, midway through filming, we realized the zoom levels were off for many of the scenes we shot on Saturday, sending us scrambling to reshoot a few scenes. Unfortunately, a few cast members had already left, and their parts were subsequently cut due to this error.

- When we finally compiled the scenes we wanted to use altogether, the running movie time was well over 8 minutes. Since 48HFP rules call for a 7 minute maximum, we had to cut a lot in order to get in back under the limit.

- After the film was submitted, we later realized the blue and red 3D channels were switched during editing. When viewed with the blue and red 3D glasses, the color of the lens should correspond to the color of the channels, otherwise it throws the effect off. Due to this, we had to turn all the 3D glasses inside out before the premiere!
